Ok ok.
Last post before the examination week starts. I don't think i've caught the pressure of examinations yet. Haish...So weird i am. 0.0 So you're wondering if i'm studying right now? Well, i'm not and does that worry me? Yeah a little but then again i can't be bothered. They say MYE is supposed to be a wake-up call but what if i'm never going to wake up? Then here i come ITE. Haiz.. Can't be so negative so let's look on some of the positives. I'm taking malay B syllabus so that's easier right? And i'm doing relatively well in my subjects except for math so that means i'm still safe. By 'O' levels, i'd have brushed up/learn on math that i'm sure i'll pass. If not then ITE again.
I heard ITE isn't that bad coz right now, many people are going to ITE instead of poly coz they can get a job easier and also get more experience. I wonder then.

At Last

For months this day was just waiting to come.
At last it was the day for the street soccer tournament at Ngee Ann Poly organised by Ngee Ann Poly. Of course before any competition, everyone gets nervous and that's what happened. Everyone(Kishore,Muhaimin,Saravanan,Vignesh,Irwan,Wei Sheng) was nervous. But hey, it's normal. Ok let's start from the beginning.
Woke up at 5A.M in the morning to bathe and all and met up with W3i at his area around 7.00. Met up with Saravanan and went to McDonalds to wait for the others. Didn't eat actually but ate a sugar packet to get some sugar rush energy. Haha. Then Irwan,Vignesh,Kishore and Vicknan came and we took the 52 bus to Ngee Ann Poly. Muhaimin would meet up with us at the place. Not everyone ate so we were kind of lethargic and hungry but if we ate then we'd be too full to play. Anyways, once we reached the place,changed into our jersey which was black with red linings. After registration, had to wait a really long time before our match which was the 9th game. Saw some other familiar teams like KalaGadoh.
The first match was against Universal Raiders Team Classic or something like that cos i never really got the name right. Haha. When we saw their 1st match we were like ok,this team is good and fast so we need to close down any gaps that they can create to give through balls. However, when we played against them, they weren't so aggressive like previously but we lost 1-0. Hey, it's a good start. Irwan, Me, W3i, Vignesh and Kishore played with a 2-2 formation proving to be very difficult to create space or opening for goal.
2nd match was against V Squad 2 which consisted of people much older than us like maybe in their 3os or late 20s but still, we put up a good fight. Lost 1-0 again and some of us were getting demoralised cos we haven't won anything yet but our coach(Kishore) got us together and lifted our spirits. To do this, Kishore had the idea of requesting a song(they were taking song dedications and playing the song over the speakers)while we were playing so that we would get some ENERGY.
The 3rd match was almost like something that was from a movie scene. We were playing against a team whose name i can't remember. When we stepped onto the court and faced our opponents, the song Low by Flo Rida feat T-pain came on. Suddenly felt so able and relaxed. No tension, no stress. Just having fun. We defended ourselves from one hell of an attack and at full time, the score was 0-0. Since they didn't accept draws, we played a sudden death penalty shoot out. The 1st kicker was Vignesh and he scored much to our delight. When it was the opponent's turn, they missed and to our excitement, we screamed to the heavens for our first victory. Yea it's just one win but who cared, we WON!
Our celebrations would be short lived as the last match was against the Styling 7 which was leading the table with 6 points and we had only 3 points because of our previous win. We didn't know what would happen if we tied agaist them. Would they count goal difference? If yes, then we were going to lose. However, we kept to our plan of holding off the opponents to force them into a penalty shoot out. Our plan backfired as i had commited a foul and allowed the opponents to get a head start where they led by 1 goal. We struck back with an equaliser through a penalty but due to a bad call by the referee, it was not counted and we were still 1 goal down. They scored again and we lost 2-0.
Our team was enraged at the referee and we walked off with frustration and sorrow, but more to frustration. At the end of it all, we still got a good experience from the tournament.
Good Parts:
Kishore's sister, Kayyathiri, helped us a lot by taking pics, dedicating songs and encouraging us.
Kishore's uncle was a just referee with pin point accurate decisions.
Kishore treated the team to drinks after we won the match.
We teased Vignesh and we all had a good laugh.
Got a good expereince from the tournament and made a few friends.
Took some pictures of our team which i'll try to upload.
Saw pretty things.
Bad Parts:
The team felt down after losing 2 matches in a row.
The team was screwed in the last match because of the referee.
Saravanan got the least play time.
Anyway, after the tournament, we were all damn hungry. Kishore stayed back to see the rest of the tournament while the rest of us went to Toh Guan to play street soccer. We went to a nearby shop to buy some snacks and then played soccer. Played a few matches and i think i played better there than at the tournament. Haha. Went home at around 6 together with W3i. While going home , met Hui Min going to study at God knows where. And also met another friend.
I'm beat and i think i just got a fever from being out in the sun too long. Possibility of getting sun burn and cancer? Haha. Touchwood.

Flag Day is such a waste of time.
Yesterday did flag day for the disabled people association or whatever. If Jonathan hadn't given us his donations, then definitely, my tin would've been empty except for a few coins. Anyway, didn't just collect donations on that day. Took a trip to Lakeside and then to McDonalds. There was this funny part where Jon wanted to buy a drink from the vending machine.
Jon: Argh! Not enough money.
Fathi: Why? The drink how much?
Jon: $0.90. This is a sign. God wants me to donate.
(Jon presses the coin return button and puts the coins in his tin)
Fathi: Hey Jon. This vending machine sells the thing at $0.80. I was cheated!
Jon: Oh! I just put my money in the tin!
Haha. Maybe it was a sign or just pure bad luck. Took a picture with Hajjar but i'm not gonna put it here coz i know what you guys will say or do. Ate at McDonalds after that and then returned the tin before going home.
As for today, just went to the gym like usual without any money and W3i had to treat me. I'll pay him back sooner or later.

Today was almost normal but nowadays, nothing's normal.
Started the day quite dull coz i dunno it was boring! Then at the parade ground, Mr yap introduced a teacher who is going to bla bla bla... After that, Mr Su asked us to turn to page 91 of our personal organiser to check if bla bla bla... 1st period was math and learned about probability and things bla bla bla... Shared song lyrics with Brentha coz she bought this book to write lyrics in it and so i took it home today to put in some. Haha. I've finished writing 2 songs' lyrics. Then during English, had to sit in Geography groups from yesterday to discuss this and that and Wei Sheng made me angry for a while coz he was 'acting up' so i was pissed off and i think he saw me pissed and decided to cool down a bit or whatever la. I need to thank Hajjar for counselling sessions haha. Things between me and W3i were fine after recess. And oh, i slept during POA lesson. For the 1st time! Haha.
After school had math remedial/self study which ended around 3 coz Ms Samsiah had some business to attend to so we were considered to have been released early. Watched Yong Fu quarrel with May for a while but they stopped after Li Hui broke it up and watched W3i and Andrew spar with each other which was funny. Think of it as unprofessional boxing. Haha. Irfan went around taking pictures with everybody and made me feel kinda sad. Ramya did the same as Irfan. Kim Hong got a surprise celebration by the childish family i think coz they bought her a cake while she was away. I can't really say what happened but hope she enjoyed the celebration or whatever.
At least some people get their birthdays celebrated. You hear me?!

Are you from 4E5's geography class and your birthday is today?
Well it was for Hajjar. Haha. It must be the best birthday for her or at least i think. For the 4E5 geography students, we had an excursion to Labrador Park, East Coast park and Changi beach.
First we went to Labrador Park which was a bit boring. Learnt about seawalls there and found a lot of seaweed at the end of the park where there was this jetty extending out. And it smelt bad too. Yucks! A lot of spiders were there too. Not that it freaked me out or anything but that there might be other insects there so it was kinda disgusting to be there.
Then went to Changi Beach. While in the bus, Mrs Grewal gave us sweets and chocolates so it really made us appreciate her and so the class thanked her for it. Also, during the journey, took a lot of pictures of aeroplanes as we passed by the airport. When we reached the beach, i was so amazed coz i've never been there before and all and the water looked so nice. Anyway, did the same thing again which was measuring things and all. The class took real quick to do the measurements and spent more time on taking pictures, playing in the water, collecting seashells, etc. I know that whenever a plane flew over us, everyone would be taking pictures. Haha. Had to go as soon as possible though coz we were running behind time.
In the bus, Mrs Grewal gave us sweets again and we thanked her again. Sang some songs with Wei Sheng to keep us busy during the trip. Once we reached East Coast park, which was the last destination, felt so relieved and really missed the place coz i haven't been there since i was 12 or so. Anyway, really liked the shops and the beach was so mesmerizing that i almost didn't want to leave. So once we did the measurements, had fun taking pictures, running around and just admiring the scenery. Once we got on the bus, almost felt sad to be going home and but that's when the good part started.
Li Hui or Yong Fu was playing the song Apologize by OneRepublic and so Wei Sheng and i sang along. Then everyone got into the mood of singing but Mrs Grewal wanted us to complete a survey before we could sing. While doing the survey, sang Hajjar another birthday song while the sun was setting. Isn't that great? She gave a speech to thank us and that watching the susnet with the class was the best thing ever or something like that. After we completed the survey, we sang sang Jenny by The Click Five. It was funny when Li Hui asked,
Li Hui: Who have the song?
Wei Sheng: I have i have!
Li Hui: Who can play the song?
Wei Sheng: I play i play!
Haha. Sang together with music courtesy of Wei Sheng. Sang Beutiful Girls but only the chorus cos we didn't know the lyrics and didn't have music anyway. After that we sang Your guardian angel by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus followed by Apologise again and it was funny when Yong Fu said,
Yong Fu: You all apologise to me ah walau. Never apologise.
Fathi: Ok la Yong Fu. Sorry boss. Sorry.
Yong Fu: It's too late to apologise. It's too late.
Haha. So we sang the song happily.The next song would have been You are the music in me by High School Musical but no one had the song so we sang The Graduation Song by Vitamin C instead. It was so moving man. Kim Hong and Kai Jun cried while we were singing and it really made ourselves feel so much love for each other. It was so touching man. Then wanted to sing the last song which was With you by Chris Brown. Well, Wei Sheng sang most of it anyway and it made Sharmilee very happy. Haha. But it really was a happy time for 4E5. We dropped Mdm Kum off and thanked her as a class. As the bus reached the school gates, i was a little sad coz the day had to end. It was such a fun day for us almost like it was a class outing. I am glad to say that i appreciated every bit of today. I would like to thank the bus driver who let us use the microphone on the bus so we could play the songs and also Mrs Grewal who planned this whole excursion.
After we got down, took group pictures of the class and then said our goodbyes. I wish we could do this again.

Unexpected visitor

Pool can be so fun when you play against someone who can't play.
Went out with the guys today like we do almost everytime we get the chance to. Went to Bugis to look for a birthday present for Hajjar and Kim Hong whose birthdays fall on the 9th and 10th respectively. Bought their gifts at this shop where a card costed $7+! Crazy! But just bought it anyway. Then just walked around Bugis until Muhaimin called to go for pool. Haha. Met Angella and her siblings by coincidence at Bugis.
Met Muhaimin at Taman Jurong and then went to eat at McDonalds. Played pool after that. Had to teach Muhaimin to play because apparently, it was his first time playing the game. Taught him how to hold the stick and also how to shoot, slice and other important stuff. He didn't win any games but at least he got close to winning everytime because he was lucky. There were some inconsiderate people at the place who were smoking. Stupid people. I don't know why they do that. Anyway, enjoyed the game till 9.30 and recorded 1 loss, 1 draw and the rest are wins. Haha. Not bad eh?
Went home at arounf 10 after buying some supper? Haha. I guess that was it for today.
At least some people GET birthday presents.

Speech Day rocked!(As usual)
Parade started around 4pm but before that, helped out with PA for the mic system. Parade was good although there were some minor mistakes, eveything went well. It's funny to hear Muhammad Fazrul pronounced out loud as the commanding officer like "This parade is led by Muhammad Fazrul..". Haha. The guest of honour came in late and we had to wait for a dreadful 5-10mins. Once he arrived and did inspection and all, the Uniformed groups marched out with the band playing a song until they themselves marched out with Amira as the ma'am.
After the parade was prize giving but didn't go to see it at the starting part instead, hung out with the NCC cadets and took some pictures. Played around for a while then went up to the hall to see the teachers and some of my friends getting their awards. After the prize presentation ceremony, snuck up to the PA room. The PA room! I mean how mant people get to go up there? Haha. Watched the dance groups and then the harmonica band which played some really nice songs. While watching, Garrison sms'd Mr Ngien to tell him to stop flirting with Janice Lim. Mr Ngien just acted like he was yawning and then showed the sms to Janice Lim. After Harmonica was Concert Band which was the closing act. They played 2 or 3 songs consecutively with some solos in the middle and got a huge applause form the crowd. Yeah it was great. Performances ended around 7.30 which was followed by dinner at the canteen. Really looked forward to eating a lot but then because W3i had to go home, just had a few bites and went home.
Can't really explain the hype of these kinds of events but i can only say that if you were there, you'd be feeling great too and having a good time. Hahahaha. Now i need to collect pictures from today courtesy of Irfan Silalahi.
Parade started around 4pm but before that, helped out with PA for the mic system. Parade was good although there were some minor mistakes, eveything went well. It's funny to hear Muhammad Fazrul pronounced out loud as the commanding officer like "This parade is led by Muhammad Fazrul..". Haha. The guest of honour came in late and we had to wait for a dreadful 5-10mins. Once he arrived and did inspection and all, the Uniformed groups marched out with the band playing a song until they themselves marched out with Amira as the ma'am.
After the parade was prize giving but didn't go to see it at the starting part instead, hung out with the NCC cadets and took some pictures. Played around for a while then went up to the hall to see the teachers and some of my friends getting their awards. After the prize presentation ceremony, snuck up to the PA room. The PA room! I mean how mant people get to go up there? Haha. Watched the dance groups and then the harmonica band which played some really nice songs. While watching, Garrison sms'd Mr Ngien to tell him to stop flirting with Janice Lim. Mr Ngien just acted like he was yawning and then showed the sms to Janice Lim.
